At Vobelle, every piece is created with a slow, intentional process that’s the opposite of fast fashion.
Starting with the Yarn
Every creation begins with the yarn. Rather than using pre-made materials, I spin my own. This process involves twisting together multiple strands of fine merino wool to create a sturdy yet soft cable-plied yarn. By doing this, I’m able to fine-tune the thickness, twist angle, and color of the yarn, to suit the personality of each piece.

The Knitting
Once the yarn is ready, the knitting begins.
Some pieces are knitted using a vintage, hand-operated Brother knitting machine, while others are knitted entirely by hand. This approach allows me to maintain a personal, hands-on connection to every product, something that’s hard to achieve with mass production techniques.

Finishing Touches
After knitting, each item is gently washed with wool wash soap, blocked, and let to air dry. This finishing process helps the wool settle into its final form, enhancing the texture and bloom.
The result is a collection of knitwear that embodies thoughtfulness and craftsmanship, offering warmth, comfort, and timeless style.
