Wool Yarns

I developed Vobelle yarn to meet the standards of my own knitwear designs. It begins with responsibly sourced merino wool, which is then kettle-dyed, cable-plied, and washed right here in my studio in Killingly, CT. Wool Yarns The result is a soft, woolly and durable yarn, perfect for just about any project, especially pieces worn close to the skin, like scarves, cowls or beanies. This is the same yarn I use to knit every high-end piece (view gallary) in my shop. I believe you’ll love creating with it as much as I do.

What Makes Vobelle Yarn Special

  • NON-SUPERWASH: Vobelle yarn is non-superwash, meaning it hasn’t been treated with the harsh chemicals used in superwash processing. The yarn retains the wool’s natural scales, offering better warmth, breathability, and that signature woolly texture we love. No chlorine baths, no plastic coatings, just pure, beautiful wool.
  • SOFT AND DURABLE: Woolen spun yarns are known for their softness, but can be less strong. That is why Vobelle yarn is cabled-plied, using 6-ply, 8-ply, or 12-ply construction. This adds strength, bounce, and split-resistance, while fully preserving the softness of the woolen base.
  • READY TO USE: Each skein is washed and knot-free, so you can cast on right away. I knit with this yarn myself, so I make sure every skein is just how I’d want it to be.
